Chennai, July 2013: In an effort to help entrepreneurs and industry move towards embracing wind energy, DEWI, one of the leading international consultants in the field of wind energy and now a UL company, will host its first ‘Knowledge Forum’ – to discuss the importance of measurement and usage of wind energy as well as understanding the related processes in testing and certification. The event will take place on July 19, 2013 at the Centre for Wind Energy Technology (C-WET) Conference Hall, Velachery – Tambaram Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai.

Speakers at the event include Mr. R.A. Venkitachalam, MD, UL India, Mr. Hergen Bolte, MD, DEWI-OCC and Mr. Ramesh Kymal, Chairman, Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association.

The Knowledge forum will bring in experts from DEWI, DEWI OCC and UL India who would talk about Site Assessment, Due Diligence, Energy Yield Forecasting, Wind Turbine Assessment, Grid Integration, Wind Turbine Type Certification and Off Shore Wind Farm Assessment. Manufacturers of wind energy equipments, spokespeople from end-user industries and regulators will be present at this event.
