With the Indian market becoming an aggressive player in the manufacturing industry, raising the bar to global standards is critical for success. This requires for better standards to be set, which enable the Indian markets to sustain against the competition from imports.
For the first time in India, UL is collaborating with leading industry associations to organize a closed-door roundtable discussion. The event Make in India – Path to ZED: Standards – an Enabler will host the participants to dwell up on the ‘Development of a Robust Eco-system for Quality in India. This platform will help create a roadmap for the development of consistent safety standards in India.
Broad objectives of the first roundtable
There will be participation from Leadership of Apex Chambers and other industry associations. They will elaborate on the need for specific criteria and the role of industry associations in building a strong quality eco-system, which can enable manufactures to join the “Make in India” movement. UL is organizing the roundtable to help its customers discover the standards related to product development and assist them in addressing conformity assessment needs.
