Making cities smarter and safer in the future requires creating an integrated electricity infrastructure.Recognizing the growing demand for smart electricity technology in the digitized world, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), along with the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), will organize the 2015 IEEE–IEEMA !ntelect Conference & Exposition Jan. 22- 24 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India.
!ntelect 2015 is supported by the Ministry of Urban Development, the Ministry of Power and the Department of Telecom, Government of India. The conference/exposition will mainly focus on intelligent electricity for smart city development. !ntelect 2015 will feature a first-of-its-kind technology demonstration centered on the theme, “Connected Intelligence in the Electricity of Things.”
UL will participate in the event as a key exhibitor to share its expertise in safety, performance and interoperability standards for smart meters, smart appliances, integration of distributed renewable energy generating systems, large format energy storage systems, and electrical mobility infrastructure.
!ntelect 2015 will feature participation from builders, architects, city planners, energy and government officials, transportation industry representatives, venture capitalists, utilities, contractors, consultants and academia, among others.
