American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA’s) International Product Safety, Worker Safety, and Supply Chain Compliance Conference was held in Bangladesh on December 9, at the BangaBandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka
Saeed Ahmed, Subject Matter Expert, Textiles and Apparel for UL’s Consumer Products Division was a featured panelist at the summit. The discussion focused on how to set up a worker health and safety program, procedures, processes, management system approach and also how to make sure that is it successfully implemented in factory as well reported to brands and retailers.
UL’s technical expert team interacted with the attendees during the exhibit sessions at the event to offer advice on how to help ensure products compliance with brand specifications, as well as international safety standards and regulations.
AAFA Conference attracted industry leaders from renowned global brands and retailers, coming together to educate factory personnel and suppliers on the required regulatory standards, restricted substances lists, and the consequences of product recalls.
