The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), a Government of India enterprise, in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), organized the first ever Renewable Energy Global Investors Meet & Expo (RE-Invest) Feb. 15-17 in New Delhi.
The central theme of RE-Invest was to attract large-scale investments for India’s renewable energy sector. The event was the first major platform for investment promotion in the sector, which will endure India’s commitment to development and scaling up of renewable energy to meet its energy requirements in a sustainable manner. The event was a follow-up to the “Make in India” initiative launched by the prime minister of India.
UL in India participated as an exhibitor, with its stall putting emphasis on various services that UL offers to assist companies build market-wide trust in their photovoltaic products. UL offers bankability services and comprehensive testing and certification services in solar and wind energy domains.
